- Price, country of origin, and other details
- Milk type, texture, and style tags
This data is stored locally on your device. We never see it.
Camera and Photo Library
With your permission, we access your:
- Camera: To take photos of cheeses
- Photo Library: To add existing photos to your cheese entries
Photos are stored locally on your device as part of your cheese collection. We do not upload, transmit, or access your photos in any way.
How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to:
- Display your cheese collection within the app
- Enable you to search and browse your entries
- That's it. There's nothing else.
Data Storage and Security
Your cheese data is:
- Stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage
- Never transmitted to any server
- Never on our servers because we don't have any
What We Don't Do
- No cloud storage: We don't have servers to store your data
- No data selling: We never sell your information
- No advertising: No ads, no tracking pixels, no data brokers
- No analytics: We don't collect usage statistics
- No account required: No email collection, no user profiles
Third-Party Services
Cheesemonger does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools. The app works entirely offline and locally on your device.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information. Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to share it manually (such as taking a screenshot).
Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access: View your data anytime in the app
- Delete: Delete any cheese entry or all data by removing the app
- Control permissions: Manage camera and photo library access in iOS Settings
Data Retention
Your cheese data is stored on your device for as long as you use the app. When you delete the app, all stored data is removed.
Children's Privacy
Cheesemonger is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and frankly, we don't collect personal information from anyone.
California Privacy Rights
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Since all data is stored locally and we collect nothing, you already have full control.
European Users (GDPR)
For EU users: Your data stays on your device. We are not a data controller as we don't collect or process your personal data.
